Cambridge University: Sustainable Marketing, Media & Creative
The Sustainable Marketing, Media and Creative course from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is all about developing skills and strategies to re-align the purpose of marketing, media and creative to support long-term wellbeing for all people and planet.
Over a period of 8 weeks, we learned how to inspire and reignite the potential for brands and creative roles to enable positive change. We also gained greater awareness of both marketing’s physical impact on people and the environment (marketing’s “footprint”) and its capacity to influence human behaviors and identities (marketing’s “brainprint”), and engage in challenging discussions on issues such as growth, greenwashing and consumption.
Following my virtual “graduation”, I integrated much of what I learned here into a tailor-made academy I launched for CMOs and their teams, while I worked at Ahold Delhaize: “Creatives for Change”.
