The Climate Reality Project

In 2006, Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore got the world talking about climate change with the Academy Award-winning film An Inconvenient Truth. Later that year, he founded what would become The Climate Reality Project to move the conversation forward and turn awareness into action all across the Earth.

Climate Reality Leadership Corps

The Climate Reality Leadership Corps is a global network of people committed to spreading awareness of the climate crisis and working for solutions to the greatest challenge of our time. The program provides training in climate science, communications, and organizing, to better tell the story of climate change and inspire communities everywhere to act. The result is a dynamic group of world-changers shaping the conversation on climate everywhere, whether at home, in a local community or at international summits.

Atlanta training

In March 2019, I was offered the opportunity by the World Economic Forum to join this program and get trained in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. The Atlanta training was a special edition, as it focused on how to engage in the climate debate in a way that acknowledges the need for a fair, socially inclusive energy transition. It is important to be aware of the inequality issues associated with environmental impacts on communities: not only in developing countries but also across the United States.
